Pegasus is available for charter
Pegasus is available in the summer months to groups and individuals.
Families, colleagues and friends can sail together and lone travellers are always
welcome. Your time onboard is a positive voyage of self discovery. Everyone has
something to give and a story to tell. Come, join us and share in the long sea fairing
tradition of camaraderie and good times.
Whatever your needs we will try to accommodate
them. We tailor the entire experience to give you the most from your time onboard.
So whatever your interest; be it art, food, history, walking, wildlife, music or
simply watching the world go by, Pegasus is the place to indulge it. Let us know
and we’ll do everything we can to exceed your expectations.
So where do we sail?
Pegasus has her home is Salcombe, best known for its sheltered beauty and protected
by it’s famous bar. Salcombe nestles between the granite monoliths of Bolt head
to the west and Prawle Point to the east. The picturesque South West coast offers
its own delights; berths, anchorages, dreams of smugglers and pirates can be found
all over the region. Deep-water ports such as Fowey and Falmouth offer both security
and gorgeous scenery. With a fair breeze and a stout heart, the exquisite and unique
Isles of Scilly present the most dramatic and sub tropical sailing in the U.K.
Alternatively,
leave it all behind, literally, and head south! The Channel Isles are about 15hrs
sailing away, and offer contrasts that you would not believe. From the fortress
like stone cliff walls of Alderney to the soft sandy beaches of Herm, the rugged
Atlantic scenery of Guernsey, the isolated Jethou and the treasure island of feudal
Sark! These Islands alone hold the key to many years dedicated sailing exploration!
But that’s not all!
Non! France lies, at its nearest, just 11 miles from
the coast of Alderney, with the Normandy ports of Cherbourg and St Vaast la Hougue
within easy reach. South again will bring you to Iles Chausey and the coast Bretagne.
St Malo dominates this coast with its medieval walled Bastille. Turn west again
and the delights of Tréguier await and further west still, you will discover Les
Sept Isles and the Tolkienesque Ile de Brehat. |
Summer Expeditions
Everyone is welcome to sail PEGASUS, to make sure that you get the most out of your
voyage; we have divided our sailing year into two halves. During summer months,
PEGASUS is available to everyone! All Group bookings are welcome, as are individual
and couples wishing to sail. We are still available to Youth Group bookings during
the summer holidays too. However, we never combine adult voyages with school sail
training voyages. If you know when you are able to sail then have a look at our
published schedule, then check availability and special offers by calling the
Crew on 0785 585 2282.
Expedition sailing is the theme of our summer sailing season. For 2008, we are off
on an 18-day Breton and western Finistere adventure. Click the logo for the brochure.
As the incredible Brest
International Maritime Festival rolls round once more it would be very remiss of
us not to make our debut there! We are also appearing at the St Mawes Pilot Cutter
Festival and at the Falmouth Tall Ships event, Funchal 500.

Our 2009 Summer Expedition is yet to be confirmed, but we are considering amongst
others a Baltic Expedition! Including a visit to the magnificent city of St Petersburg!
If that doesn’t appeal then perhaps a warm Irish welcome is just what you are looking
for? First stop the Scillies then Cork and Waterford? Let us know what you think.
As we said, this is an inclusive sailing boat and we are delighted to hear your
ideas.
See the Baltic Expedition brochure.
PEGASUS can be made available for any expedition you might wish, just
provide us with as much information and time to organise it! If there are events
that you would like to see PEGASUS involved in then simply give us a call!
