Summary
Well, the intrepid crew of the Good Ship Pegasus, made up of the guys from the boat yard, and a Ukrainian Biographer, the Skipper and me, set off at 3am, sailed into force 7 head winds in the Bristol Channel, and made everyone sick!click for more details...

Details
The crew were very excited about being the first to use the shiny new waterproofs and the life jackets and showed restraint during the safety brief. We all had an early night and woke to the wonderful sound of the kettle going on the stainless stove stop at 0245hrs. We locked out of Portishead and got the main up, a slight hitch as something fell on the deck from the heavens, easily identified with the super searchlight and off we went.Sailing into 2 metre swell, as headwinds of a force 7 hindered our progress. Twelve hours later with a ground speed of 3 knots we made the popular decision to run into Swansea!! where our entire delivery crew decided they quite liked their own beds and had to go to work in the morning. Everyone has been remarkably friendly, in Swansea, asking all about Pegasus as she lies on the harbour wall, especially just as we attempt to ascend said harbour wall without a ladder, via a complex system of shrouds and the sheer pole! Hurrah! so we now await a weather window and a scratch delivery crew! call 0785 585 2282 if you are interested in helping !
